Here is quick sketch in photoshop of an idea of a wrinkly witch character. For this brief I will be focussing on just the face of the character and will be playing around with sculpturing it in Mudbox.

Creature Design with tentacles

I was inspired by the mythological creature Sphinx (feminine hybrid of a lioness and a human)
I decided to create the tentacles as the hair as I was inspired by Medusa.

I have collected research of creatures with tentacles, to inspire me with ideas when creating my own imaginary creature. I have looked at films, games and secondary research from the internet. 

- Films (Pirates of the Carribean)

- Games (Dead Space)

- Mythological creatures (mermaids, Kraken etc.)

- Artist Giger (alien creature designs)

- Existing creatures (jelly fishes, octopuses, star nosed mole a furry creature with tentacles)
